RE:      Follow up on Changes in the Statewide Assessments for Special
Education

 

Attached please find additional information relative to the message last
week on the changes in Oregon's statewide assessment options as they
relate to students with disabilities.  You will find (1) a set of
questions/response about ODE's plan to address the issues, (2) a
clarification of the options available for the 2006-2007 assessments,
ways to address the changes on IEP and the form to use with parents for
IEP revisions without a formal IEP meeting, (3) a revised IEP assessment
page and , (4) accompanying guidance to use when addressing this part of
the IEP.  

 

Tricia Clair will review these documents and the changes as she and the
ODE team conduct the statewide SPR&I trainings over the next several
weeks. You may also contact Dianna Carrizales at
