Attached is an invitation encouraging folks in the field to attend focus
group sessions that will influence the direction of The DATA Project, a
statewide initiative designed to improve student achievement by
collecting, analyzing and using longitudinal data to inform individual
instruction. At the district and classroom levels, teachers will be able
to use formative data to design effective curricula for their students.

Instructional staff will have an opportunity to provide direction on
training needs related to data and its use in improving student
learning. While technology staff will supply information on current tool
sets and use, data systems, quality and data use policy. 

Focus group sessions will be conducted in seven locations throughout the
state. Although the invitation will be sent directly to your K-12
partners, we need your help! Please post the invitation in a high
traffic area at your ESD and/or on your website. 

Please also encourage your K-12 partners to RSVP quickly. There is
limited capacity for these sessions. 
This is a fabulous opportunity to influence the direction of this
project. Please help us ensure that the field has a voice.
