Subject: lidar acquisition for Eagle Crk burn this week

Dear Eagle Crk lidar collaborators and colleagues,

Good news! The lidar will be acquired this week for the Eagle Creek burn. The GPS ground stations will be set early in the week and acquisition will begin wednesday and continue for 2-3 days if all goes well.

The acquisition will occur via helicopter and it will involve lots and lots of swaths to cover the entire burn area. We delayed the acquisition several weeks to wait for the high elevation snow to melt...there's still snow up there, unfortunately, but our primary areas of interest are clear.

Thanks again for your patience and support for this project. I will update you as the acquisition completes and the data becomes available.

cheers, josh
