The Village of Pinecrest located in South Florida is accepting applications
for the position of GIS Coordinator.  This new position will provide an
exciting opportunity for an individual to develop and maintain a GIS system
consisting of mapping for land use and infrastructure.  

This individual will be responsible for performing professional planning
work with duty to incorporate future, projected and actual land use
regulations and existing textual and graphic formats to be utilized in
geographic information systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor_s Degree in Government, Public Administration, Geography, Planning
or related field from an accredited college with concentration in GIS, two
(2) years of working experience in GIS one of which must be under
independent working conditions and computer literacy with working knowledge
of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and GIS (Arc Info and Arc View).  Must be
a non-smoker.

Salary: $21.54 per hour ($42,000 per year) plus benefits package.

Benefits package includes medical, dental and life insurance, short term and
long term disability insurance, a 401 Retirement Plan with a 12% Village
contribution, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, two-weeks vacation, 12 sick
days, 2 personal days and a tuition reimbursement program.

communication skills.  Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Information

The GIS Developer will be responsible for a variety of duties including but
not limited to 3-5 years hands-on experience with ArcGIS 8.x, Arcview 3.x,
SQL, Relational Database Systems (SQL Server or Oracle preferred), AutoCAD
