Job Opportunity

The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) is currently seeking an experienced GIS Analyst who has an advanced understanding of Facilities Management GIS while having the ability to solve complex analytical problems using spatial analysis and problem solving techniques. The successful candidate will become a working member of an established GIS Team and be responsible for supporting the requirements gathering, data modeling, data integration, and analytical needs of EWEB's engineering and operational business units. EWEB is looking for a candidate who can work in a high-energy environment where creativity, innovation, involvement, teamwork and diversity are supported and encouraged. 

This position supports the delivery, testing, configuration and customization of GIS solutions for the management of Electric, Water and Telecommunication networks, environmental protection and hydro generation activities. They will work collaboratively on GIS projects in the role of Project Manager or technical expert and perform complex analysis of graphic and non-graphic data by creating custom maps and reports. The successful candidate will research, recommend and deploy GIS solutions in support of utility planning and operations and may develop and deliver user training for ESRI GIS, customized, and third-party applications as required.

Experience: Minimum of five years GIS experience in a support capacity including a minimum of three years using ESRI ArcGIS software and two years of cartographic experience required. Experience working in a utility environment and linear networks preferred.
 
Education and/or training: Bachelors degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field with specific GIS coursework and/or training. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.
