[Apologies for cross-posting]

Next week on May 15th the Coastal and Marine Data Network is hosting 2 free training sessions at Corvallis Public Library:

  * Introduction to using Metadata and Catalogs for data sharing (Morning)
  * Introduction to ESRI Geoportal Server (Afternoon)

Attendance is free, but registration is required so that enough course materials can be prepared. You are welcome to register and attend either training alone, or register for both for a full day.

  * Register for Introduction to using Catalogs for data sharing (Morning Workshop) here:

  * Register for Introduction to ESRI Geoportal Server (Afternoon Workshop) here:

These trainings will be conducted by Christine White of ESRI, and are funded by a grant from the Federal Geographic Data Committee. Marc Rempel of the Oregon Spatial Data Library will also be contributing to the afternoon session.

These trainings are not coastal or marine specific, so anyone who feels a need to learn about how to use ArcCatalog do good metadata for geospatial data, or to share data via catalogs like the Oregon Spatial Data Library may benefit from participating. If you have the time and interest, I encourage you to participate.

best,
Tanya
