The Hazards FIT has amended the current Oregon Floodplain Data Standard v1.0. A draft version of that revised standard is available for review at:
http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/fit/hazards/docs/Draft%20Flood%20Hazard%20Data%20Standard%202%200.pdf

A summary of the proposed changes is included below:

"Flood Hazard Data Standard v2.0" revises "Floodplain Data Standard v1.0" by updating the core FEMA flood study theme and adding new themes, such as non-FEMA flood studies, observed flood inundation areas, and high water marks. Where possible these news themes have been aligned with existing federal standards from FEMA and USGS. The standard also defines links to supporting documents and photos to be hosted in a state managed web library.

The comment period will be open for 45 days and closes at the end of the day on Friday, September 19, 2014.
Please direct comments on this standard amendment to Jed Roberts, Flood Mapping Coordinator, DOGAMI (jed.roberts at state.or.us<mailto:jed.roberts at state.or.us>)
