Pacific Northwest GIS Community,

In keeping with your ability to lead the nation in the creative use of advanced geospatial technology and collaborative efforts, we present the NASA World Wind Lidar Analysis and Visualization Challenge.

For competition details, please visit: www.nsdinow.org<http://www.nsdinow.org>

Your involvement will help guide development efforts of an open source product that won 2009 NASA Software of the year<http://www.nasa.gov/offices/oce/icb/winners/soy/2009_soy.html>, strengthen open source communities and advance open source technology.

Please note that this is an ‘end-user’ competition in which no programming skill is required. Should you wish to contribute programming effort to the World Wind community other avenues exist. Just send a note and we’ll connect you with those initiatives.

Thank you for your time,
Brandt
