USGIF is seeking subject matter experts to take Universal GEOINT pilot exams at the Esri UC on Tuesday 7/21, supporting development of our new professional Universal GEOINT credential. We seek SMEs for two exams: (a) Remote Sensing & Imagery Analysis, and (b) GIS & Analysis Tools. These exams will be administered by GSX with USGIF proctors. There is no cost for exam takers, and those who pass exams will receive credit towards Universal GEOINT certification.

You can find information about the new Universal GEOINT Essential Body of Knowledge at the following web page. Pilot exams developed by USGIF/GSX for the new Universal GEOINT credential are built upon this framework.
http://usgif.org/education/Prof_Cert

Exams are scheduled for 8-11am and 1-4pm PT on Tuesday 7/21, and will be administered within Esri UC confines. GSX will run psychometric analyses upon collective pilot exam results within each exam domain, to establish pass/fail thresholds and evaluate test item suitability.

Towards that psychometric analysis goal, we have greater need for SMEs to take the Remote Sensing & Imagery Analysis exam than for the GIS & Analysis Tools exam. Given that need, we will require those interested in the GIS exam to first take the Remote Sensing exam (special case exceptions possible).

Please forward this message to SMEs within your community who are attending the ESRI UC and might be interested in learning more about USGIF's new Universal GEOINT credential and/or embody greater good geospatial citizenship motivation to support increasing professionalization of the geospatial science/technology workforce.

Interested SMEs can contact Justin Franz (USGIF) and Chris Anderson (GSX) to secure seats for one or both of these exams (Justin & Chris cc'd on this message). Registration will be on a first-come first-serve basis, and will be limited to 16 seats per session.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks!
Max
