[gis_info] Input requested: Oregon Metadata Standard changes - marked up version now available

Thank you to all who have already commented on the proposed revisions to the metadata standard!

Two versions of the proposed revised Oregon Metadata Standard, a clean version and a marked up version, are now available for your convenience. The preferred method for submitting comments is through the Google Docs comment feature.

Minor revisions have been proposed for the Oregon Metadata Standard. The proposed revisions were initiated by the FIT Metadata Work Group to specify that the data steward contact information be placed in the publisher metadata element. Other proposed changes include formatting to increase readability and minor wording changes to increase clarity.

A link to the comment documents' folder is posted on the Oregon GIS data standards web page (http://www.oregon.gov/geo/Pages/standards.aspx). The minimum comment review period is 30 days, starting November 14, 2016. The comment period will close December 16, 2016 at 11:59 PM.
