The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an energetic, innovative, communicative, and visionary leader to provide strategic direction for the GIS and Roadway software and data resources within WSDOT. As the GIS & Roadway Data Branch Manager The position is responsible for strategic planning by establishing policies and procedures for collecting, processing, analyzing, and managing numerous spatial GIS databases used for mapping and spatial analysis, non-GIS spatial and tabular databases, various standard and custom static and dynamic cartographic products and software applications/systems.

The successful candidate will manage nineteen technical staff within the GIS and Roadway Data Branch. The position will play a pivotal role in the implementation of a modern enterprise GIS services culture, including a production spatial LRS based on the "Roads and Highways" software product.
