If you are in Corvallis today....

Please join us for the public launch (Wednesday, October 17th) of the 2018 edition of the Atlas of the Pacific Northwest<pnwatlas.oregonstate.edu> produced by the OSU Libraries ad Press and the Institute for Natural Resources! More than 100 interactive maps that cover all of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho have been assembled and presented for the first time in an interactive digital atlas format. Eight chapters cover regional topics including water, culture and history, population and housing, outdoor recreation and more. The print edition of Atlas of the Pacific Northwest, first published in 1953, went through nine editions, and was a perennial bestseller for OSU Press.

Interactive Demos of the online Atlas of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) on the Hyperwall in the GAZE facility (Strand Hall 361) will be held at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Professor Bo Zhao will provide an introduction to the Atlas of the PNW project at the 10 am demo. The launch date was selected to coincide with an OSU150 celebration event with the OSU Geography department. For more information, contact Janine Salwasser with the Oregon Explorer program (janine.salwasser at oregonstate.edu<mailto:janine.salwasser at oregonstate.edu>).
