[gis_info] GIS Intern - Newberg, 1/2 time

The City of Newberg is looking for a GIS Intern in the Engineering Dept.



This position performs a variety of internship level technical work in
supp= ort of GIS functions for Public Works engineering programs.  Work
involves = practical application of basic engineering principals and
knowledge. Specif= ic tasks may include:  Performing engineering, drafting,
designing, field a= nd office assignments; collecting engineering and
surveying data and record= s for GIS traffic, sidewalks, water meters and
easement information invento= ries; assisting in managing Geographic
Information System database; supporting engineering staff in areas such as
plan review, project inspecti= on, stream monitoring, project research, bid
management, and document revie= w for bid specifications and standard
drawing revisions.
