[gpl_list] Problem with drawing in ArcGIS

Hi,
Have any of you had this problem?

Add the shapefile watercourses to a new ArcMap session. You are
zoomed out to the whole state. The file draws correctly.
You zoom in and it will not draw, nothing happens. No spinning
world, nothin'
You open ArcCatalog, preview the same shapefile at the state level.
It draws. You zoom in, nothing.
You copy this shapefile in ArcCatalog to another directory (from g:/
geolib/hydro to g:/geolib/admin)
The shapefile you copied draws perfectly, whole state or zoomed in.
Add the copied file to the ArcMap session it acts normal.
The watercourse shapefile worked just fine the day before from the g:/
geolib/hydro directory.
Checked with IS and nothing has been done to the system from one day
to the next.
The other strange thing is the watercourses shapefile is on 3
different drives and 2 of the three would not let you see it zoomed in.

Any ideas?
