Dear Partner, 
 
Attached please find a letter from Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius asking your organization to join the nationwide effort to encourage more Americans to get vaccinated against H1N1.  January 10-16 has been designated as National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW).  The one-pager attached titled "National Influenza Vaccine Week" describes activities and themes for the week, and asks you to join the effort by checking the NIVW website and adding activities that your organization might be sponsoring to encourage vaccination during NIVW and the month of January.  
 
Please see http://www.cdc.gov/flu/freeresources/additional_print.htm#nivwfor a poster advertising NIVW that we hope you will download and post to remind people of the importance of vaccination and where to go for information about the flu and H1N1 vaccine.  Also attached is a "One Pager for Faith Based Organizations" that outlines steps your congregation can take to prevent the spread of flu.  There is also a short message to be used as an insert in this week's program bulletins to share with your members. We hope you will also share these materials with other faith-organizations in your community.
