Practicum/ Internship Opportunity * Policy Implementation 


Volunteers of America Oregon (VOA) has an immediate opportunity for a
MPH student to assist with the hands-on implementation of a tobacco-free
policy in all of VOA*s programs and facilities. Duties will include
developing a communication plan and materials, resource cultivation for
both staff and clients, and possible grant writing. The MPH student will
gain competencies in organizational change, policy implementation and
management, HR management, health behavior & health education, and
communication strategies.

Since 1896, Volunteers of America Oregon has been working within Oregon
to support our community*s most pressing social and cultural needs.
Today our 350 staff members and more than 615 volunteers serve over
17,000 people through 24 programs in Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, and
Washington Counties. Our programs range from children and family
services to public safety & substance abuse treatment to senior
services. As is our mission, *Volunteers of America changes lives by
promoting self-determination, building strong communities, and standing
for social justice.*
