The *Leonard Doak Memorial Scholarship in Health Literacy* was established
by Len's wife and longtime collaborator in health literacy studies, Cecilia
Doak. The Scholarship was funded to honor Leonard Doak's memory and
contributions to the field of health literacy. Len passed away on July 15,
2012.****

The purpose for the scholarship is to provide targeted education in health
literacy to one person each year who works to educate an underserved
population in healthcare. ****
