> Purpose: To build capacity in the Southeastern Region for effectively addressing the preconception health and reproductive life planning needs of young adults.

> Audience: Public health leaders, program managers, agency directors, health care providers, and community leaders with an interest in maternal, child, and women’s health.

> Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to: a) Describe the national Preconception Peer Educator program; b) Describe how two communities applied a peer approach in academic and faith-based settings; and c) Discuss successes, lessons learned, and next steps from the Preconception Peer Educator, Cradle Me 3, and Peer Education for the Soul programs.
