Hello health education colleagues!

I wanted to pass along an amazing opportunity for CHES/MCHES hours, brought
to you by OPHA and the Oregon Health Authority.

The Oregon Self-Management Forum and Place Matters conference (November
19-21) are approved for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES)
and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up
to 15.5 total Category I continuing education contact hours for the
following meetings:

· Self-Management Forum – up to 3 hours (basic level only)

· Place Matters day 1 – Wednesday, November 19 – up to 3.5 hours
basic or advanced

· Place Matters day 2 – Thursday, November 20 – up to 6.5 hours
basic, 4 hours advanced

· Place Matters day 3 – Friday, November 21 – up to 2.5 hours basic
or advanced

You're invited to join this biennial health promotion and chronic disease
prevention conference. Please join colleagues and partners to be inspired,
motivated and challenged by more than 40 presenters and hundreds of
participants. The conference brings together state and local organizations
that are working together to make healthy communities.

There is still time to register - the fee of $50 ($25 for students and
seniors) covers registration and CHES/MCHES credits for all three days.
Some scholarships are available and may be requested upon registration.

For details and registration information, please visit
www.healthoregon.org/hcc. I look forward to seeing you next month.
