> Call for Breakout Session Presentations Now Open
>
> We're looking for a few good presenters.
>
> Do you have a particular area of expertise that you'd like to share with your colleagues in the health literacy community? If so, consider submitting a Breakout Session proposal for our 14th Annual IHA Health Literacy Conference, scheduled for May 6-8, 2015, at the Hotel Irvine, Irvine, California (near Orange County/John Wayne airport).
>
> We are busy putting together the agenda for the 2015 conference, and we are looking for brilliant and talented Breakout Session presenters.
>
> We have slots for 10 outstanding sessions to present to our attendees at our conference. The theme for our 2015 conference is "Operational Solutions to Improve Health Literacy: Lessons Learned from Health Literacy and the Affordable Care Act."
>
> If you have experience in any of the areas below, or another area that would be of particular use to those working with patients and clients with limited health literacy skills, and you are interested in teaching a 90-minute, hands-on, interactive workshop at our conference, read on and submit your proposal to become a presenter.
>
> We are particularly interested in receiving Breakout Session presentations on these topics (these are topics previous attendees have said they'd be interested in, but it is by no means an exhaustive or exclusive list):
>
> Effective website design
> Education program design
> Culture and health literacy
> Working with limited English proficiency patients
> Translating education materials
> Program evaluation
> Focus groups / Evaluation / Field testing
> Demonstrating the strategic value of your health literacy program
> Grant writing
> Working with seniors
> Navigation
> Primary care solutions
> Working with special needs populations
> Not sure about your session topic? Give us a call and we'll be happy to discuss it with you.
>
