Good afternoon,

I am unable to participate in the upcoming GCAG call on Monday, March 30th from 10-11:30 AM. Is anyone available to step in for me? I think Tribal representation is highly important for GCAG. It would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize for not being able to do it this time.

Hello GCAG members,

I hope you all arrived home safely and are staying healthy. I met most of you on the last call or at training swing events around the state and I am looking forward to facilitating the GCAG calls and continuing to work with you toward continuous improvement of our programs and support to grantees. Our next GCAG call is coming up and is currently scheduled for Monday, 3/30/15 from 10:00-11:30am. If you are not able to make this call, please find another coordinator to represent you and your region on the call. Please let me know if someone else will be representing you on the call so that we can share any other information with that person prior to the call.

We have lost a few members of the GCAG with staff changes in some locations. I have reached out to the Southwest region and to the Tribal TPEP coordinators to find new GCAG members to represent those folks. If you know of someone in these areas that may be interested or that you think would be a great representative of their region or of the tribes, please reach out to them as well. Thanks.

I am asking that each of you now contact the coordinators that you represent to seek agenda items for this call. Based on the protocol, I will then coordinate with the appropriate staff/partners/contractors to put together an agenda that meets your needs. Some other topic ideas for the call might be: specific work plan questions, upcoming grant opportunities, content area clarification, etc. Also remember that RSN Updates are one of the topics on the agenda and this is where you can share with the group the work that is going on in your region. It will be good for you to ask each coordinator in your region what they want to share (turn overs, restructure, successes, challenges, partnerships, other funding opportunities, etc.).

Please note: there will be an agenda item for training topics for the next grant year. I would also like you to ask your colleagues and come prepared to offer ideas for required and optional training topics, as I am currently planning the next grant year training plans for your programs.

Please send any feedback related to agenda items no later than COB March 20, 2015. This will allow me a few days to set the agenda and recruit speakers. Due to the short time frame, it may not be possible to schedule some speakers until the next call, however, I will do my best to accommodate any pressing need for clarification particularly if topics are time-sensitive or related to the RFA or grant reporting cycles.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me via email or to call me at the number below. I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Diallo, M.Ed.
