Hello Coordinators,

State and county-level data and reports for the 2018 Student Wellness Survey (SWS) are now available on the Pride Surveys website: https://oregon.pridesurveys.com/.

Please see additional information below on how to access the reports and request datasets or special data analysis.

Tribal reports will be sent to designated tribal contacts via secure email no later than Friday, November 16th.

How to access and request Student Wellness Survey (SWS) data

The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section (HPCDP) Surveillance and Evaluation Team (SET) can help you with access to state, county, school and school district level reports and datasets. We can also help with special analysis of state, county, school and school district data that are not provided in the reports.

Reports - click here<https://oregon.pridesurveys.com/>

  * Detailed reports contain results for all survey questions by grade level (6th, 8th, and 11th). These reports are available at the state, county, school district, and school level. Access to school or school district reports requires permission from the school or school district administrator (see below).

Datasets

  * State, county, school and school district datasets can be provided if one wishes to explore or conduct their own analysis of the data. In some cases, certain data fields may be removed for confidentiality purposes (for example: race and ethnicity). Data users must also sign a Data Use Agreement.

Special data analysis

  * If you have a specific need for data that is not found in the reports (for example: results by gender or age), the SET can help you with a customized analysis. A customized analysis can take some time to complete depending on the complexity of the request, so please plan as far in advance as possible.

To request datasets or special data analysis, please first contact your liaison. You will then be put in touch with an assigned SET member who will work with you on your request.

Note: All requests related to school or school district level data and reports must be pre-approved by the school or school district administrator. Please have them provide a signed letter or email giving HPCDP permission to share their data and to whom. You can send this letter to your liaison or to the HPCDP Surveillance & Evaluation Team at hpcdp.surveillance at state.or.us<mailto:hpcdp.surveillance at state.or.us>.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or your liaison.
