Some of the most popular Oregon Heritage Conference activities take place during the evenings, and the 2014 event in Albany is no exception. Register now at http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/OHC/Pages/Conference.aspx so you can participate in this year's evening events.

April 23
"Preservation Pub: Oregon's Oldest Buildings"
Now down to just five percent of the buildings that stood in 1865, the Willamette Valley's Settlement-era story is rapidly disappearing. Efforts are needed now if these buildings are to be saved for future generations. Join Restore Oregon for this after-hours conversation at the Deluxe Brewery about why these houses and barns matter and what can be done to preserve them.

April 24
Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards
Be awed and inspired when you hear the stories of eight individuals, organizations and projects that have made outstanding contributions to preserving Oregon heritage. State Historic Preservation Officer Lisa Van Laanen and Heritage Commission chair David Lewis will make the presentations.

Heritage Excellence Awards After Party
Join the Heritage Excellence Award winners and catch an Oregon film at the Pix theatre. See how this first-run movie theatre offers a unique atmosphere and venue in a historic building.

April 25
Historic Home Open House
Five Albany homes, including the historic Monteith House, will be open for visits.
