Hundreds of thousands of tourists with an interest in cultural heritage will travel through Oregon during the next few months, and forever afterward. Is your business or organization prepared for them? Is your organization or business able to attract them? Is your community prepared to benefit from them?

The Oregon Heritage Commission and the Neighborhood Economic Development Corp., a nonprofit economic development organization, will host a highly interactive daylong event June 9 in Springfield that will help you:
-- Learn more about opportunities, market trends, issues and resources for cultural heritage tourism.
-- Understand heritage tourists, their value and needs.
-- Assess your organization's readiness for visitors.
-- Learn about the anchor draws for heritage tourism, and the regional assets than can complement heritage tourism initiatives.
-- Develop collaboration among heritage organizations, and between heritage organizations and tourism organizations, to tap opportunities for heritage tourism in the region.

Whether you want to take immediate steps to engage travelers or begin longer-term planning, this workshop is for you. Register now at www.oregonheritage.org<http://www.oregonheritage.org>
