OREGON HERITAGE SUMMIT, APRIL 26-27 - REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

The Oregon Heritage Summit is open for registration<https://store.oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=&itemTypeId=2>. This year the Summit will focus on something that affects all heritage organizations - funding! The first day will be a big picture view on funding with opportunities for participants to consider broad solutions for heritage funding, give input on tools for Oregon Heritage to develop to increase funding for heritage, hear the results of a report on the creative ways heritage is funded nationally, hear from and speak with granting organizations about how your heritage projects fit within their programs, and take a look at case studies from around the state. The second day will go back to the basics focused on board development for fundraising, membership, annual appeal, crowdsourced funding, story-telling and more. And it's only natural that we include a celebration of great heritage work in Oregon with the 2017 Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards recognizing individuals, projects, historic cemeteries, businesses and organizations for outstanding efforts on behalf of Oregon heritage.

For a more detailed schedule and/or to register visit http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/OHC/Pages/Conference.aspx. For questions contact Kuri.Gill at oregon.gov<mailto:Kuri.Gill at oregon.gov> or call 503-986-0685. We hope to see many of you there!
