Governor Brown's Executive Order and Additional Resources

In the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Governor Brown released Executive Order No 20-12<https://govsite-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/jkAULYKcSh6DoDF8wBM0_EO%2020-12.pdf> today to tighten social distancing measures. While many heritage organizations proactively responded to limit group activities, implement social distancing, and even closing their doors to the public last week, strong guidance has been put in place on business practices.

Travel Oregon posted the following resources and opportunities that may help heritage organizations at this time.

1. Share the communication materials that help inform the public around "Stay Home, Save Lives" to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are asking our partners around the state to use this messaging to share information on how Oregonians can stay safe and save lives. Please visit Travel Oregon's industry toolkit<https://industry.traveloregon.com/opportunities/marketing-co-ops-toolkits/toolkits/covid-19-toolkit/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Travel%20Oregon%E2%80%99s%20industry%20toolkit&utm_campaign=COVID%2019%20Gov%20EO%20included> to access the material and learn where to get translated messages from the Oregon Health Authority. Every morning new messages and social content will be uploaded; check back daily to find these new messages and material to share with your community.

2. Help us share your story. As Oregonians unite to slow the spread of COVID-19, it's important to increase our lines of communication. Travel Oregon has created an online form<https://industry.traveloregon.com/opportunities/marketing-co-ops-toolkits/toolkits/covid-19-toolkit/how-can-we-help/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=online%20form&utm_campaign=COVID%2019%20Gov%20EO%20included> to capture recent impacts on destinations and businesses. Please share your immediate needs, as well as any special promotions or inspirational stories happening during this challenging time. Complete the form<https://industry.traveloregon.com/opportunities/marketing-co-ops-toolkits/toolkits/covid-19-toolkit/how-can-we-help/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=form&utm_campaign=COVID%2019%20Gov%20EO%20included> and submit by March 27 to be included in upcoming content pieces and marketing and communication recovery efforts.

3. Continue to support your local tourism businesses by buying gift certificates, planning a future trip, ordering takeout at restaurants, shopping from local businesses online and donating money. Encourage potential visitors to Oregon to do the same. Here are ways to support Oregon businesses right now<https://traveloregon.com/things-to-do/trip-ideas/ways-support-oregon-businesses-right-now/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Here%20are%20ways%20to%20support%20Oregon%20businesses%20right%20now&utm_campaign=COVID%2019%20Gov%20EO%20included>.
