Latinos in Heritage Conservation release Latinx Preservation Toolkit

Free Southern Oregon workshops on heritage tourism, Jan. 17 & Feb. 21
Travel Southern Oregon and The Jackson County Heritage Association have teamed up to produce two professional development workshops enhancing the skills and knowledge of the travel and hospitality industries, city staff, elected officials, and heritage advocates. These workshops aim to develop and improve strategic partnerships at the intersection of heritage, tourism, and economic development. All those interested in history are welcome to attend and participate.

Communities convene to hear how the arts fuel Oregon’s economy

The study revealed that Oregon's arts and culture sector contributed $829 million to Oregon's economy in FY2022.
Randy visited nine communities in north, south and central Oregon to discuss the amazing contributions and vital role that arts and culture play in making Oregon's communities stronger. These findings make a huge difference in making the case for community investment in the arts. In one community, the city manager was so impressed with the economic impact data that he invited an arts leader to serve on the tourism commission and is now planning to invest city funds in creating an arts district.
