<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma">Is the Molalla Log house Oregon’s oldest building?<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Gregg Olson, an authority on pioneer structures in Oregon, will present a “house detective” lecture to explore this question beginning at 7 p.m., May 9 in Columbia Hall, Room 219, at Clatsop Community College, 1651 Lexington Ave., Astoria.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Olson’s lecture will cover the historical context of the house, cultural trends in log buildings, and his use of dendrochronology (dating based on an analysis of tree rings).<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
