[Hist_Pres] City of Medford seeks cemetery commissioner

The City of Medford is seeking applicants for the Cemetery Commission. Applicants are not required to reside in Medford.

The Medford Cemetery Commission meets monthly (if agenda items warrant) at 12 noon on the 2nd Tuesday, at the Santo Community Center.  They advise staff regarding management/maintenance practices for the IOOF/Eastwood Cemetery,  write recommendations for same and assist with special events/education on behalf of the cemetery. A few are very hands on and work on special projects, or in general, at the site. Sometimes they attend special programs or hands on learning programs.  The commission has a budget and help determine priorities for use of those earmarked funds.
 
Applications must be in the hands of the City Managers office by/on Friday, October 29, 2010. A commissioner serves 3 years.
