Oregon’s role in World War II
Tuesday, Dec. 
7, 5:30-9 p.m.
Clackamas County Historical Society's Tumwater Room
Refreshments served; admission $5


Join CCHS for a special evening of remembrance on the 
69th 
anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. 
Stories and memorabilia 
of the Greatest Generation on 
exhibit from 5:30 to 7 p.m. 
followed by a military fashion 

show. Featured speakers include Oregon Army National Guard 
Lt. Col. 
Alisha Hamel discusses Oregon's role in World War II. Dr. Jackie 
Flowers, 
professor of American history at Clackamas Community 
College,
 also shares personal stories from the college's Oral 

History Project, for which World War II veterans are being 
interviewed.

The
 CCHS program, at 211 Tumwater Drive, Oregon City, also 
features period music, light refreshments, and a 
display of local residents' World War II stories, photos 

and memorabilia. The Museum of the Oregon Territory also will 
be 
open until 7 p.m.
