Celebrate Oregon’s 152nd statehood anniversary at
Clackamas County Historical Society (CCHS) when it opens the Museum of the
Oregon Territory with a wine tasting and Valentine-inspired prizes 11 a.m. to 4
p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Clackamas County Family History Society (CCFHS) also holds a book sale during the event. Books feature topics such as census, cemeteries,
marriages and probate from various counties in Oregon, and Clark County, Wa., CCFHS publications - and more!
Since Oregon's official anniversary falls on the
lover’s holiday, CCHS is having wine tasting in the Tumwater Room, featuring a romantic view of Willamette Falls, and giving away special prizes to celebrate including:
• Two dinners for two at area restaurants
• a “whisky” tasting for four
• a two-bottle wine basket
Also, the first 50 visitors each will receive a
flower.
MOOT admission is $5 for nonmembers or free with
membership renewal or purchase.
The
Clackamas County Historical Society (CCHS), 211 Tumwater Drive, Oregon City, Or., is a nonprofit
regional educational institution dedicated to providing historical information
and maintaining two museum buildings (Museum of the Oregon Territory and the
Stevens Crawford House) with ongoing and special occasion exhibits.
