The Oregon Cultural Trust seeks proposals for the planning and
coordination of Oregon Days of Culture 2011.
Withguidance from staff of the Cultural Trust, and working with a
steeringcommittee for the Oregon Days of Culture, the contractor will
provideleadership, vision and planning for 2011 Oregon Days of
Culture,signature event(s) specifically developing and linking
culturalnonprofit activity statewide to the Oregon Cultural Trust’s 2011
funddevelopment goals.
OregonDays of Culture, organized the Oregon Culture Trust, is a
statewidecelebration of Oregon culture that takes place over eight days,
October1 – 8. October 8 is the anniversary of the effective date of
Oregon’sunique cultural tax credit, the primary funding mechanism for
theCultural Trust, www.culturaltrust.org.
2011 marks the fourth annual Oregon Days of Culture.
Thesuccessful proposer will have the creative vision to recommend
anddevelop a “big” idea that will unify cultural stakeholders across
thestate as well as the capacity to implement and manage the
concentrateddaily, on-the-ground work of the eight days of culture in
October.
