I hope you will let your candidates know the importance of your organization in Mt. View's case.  The county founder's head stones were chipping away and looked awful, but we could not justify the resources to repair them ahead of such things as regular lawn care and desperately needed pruning of the old white oaks that were falling down at an alarming rate.  With your help, we were able to repair the stones and preserve the trees with the resources we saved.  Meanwhile, TLC was researching Tony Goldwyn's ancestors and discovered that they were buried on our property.  One of Mr. Goldwyn's grand parents wrote the screen play to Gone with the Wind, the grandson of our county's father, who was buried on our property.  I can't imagine how disappointed the producers and Mr. Goldwyn would have been had they come to the location to find that the community had left such important monuments to decay.  Instead, he was moved by the care we had taken and an incredible Oregon story was broadcast nationally and around the world.  Thank you again.
