Subject:  Proposed Rulemaking Announcement & Notice of Hearing

The Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board has initiated administrative rulemaking in order to implement 2015 HB2471, relating to qualifications to practice a profession related to the final disposition of human remains.

The Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board has initiated administrative rulemaking in order to implement 2015 HB3242, relating to the Temporary Operating Permit for a Cemetery that does not hold a valid license.

The Oregon Mortuary & Cemetery Board has initiated administrative rulemaking in order to implement 2015 HB3243, relating to the Indigent Disposition Program.

Copies of the notice of proposed rulemaking hearing, statement of need and fiscal impact & proposed administrative rules for each rulemaking are available on the Board's website:  http://www.oregon.gov/MortCem/Pages/Rulemaking.aspx

A public hearing has been scheduled for all proposed rulemaking at 10am on December 22 2015 at 800 NE Oregon Street, Suite 445, Portland, OR  97232.  Written comment regarding the proposed rule amendments will be accepted through 4pm.
