Brooks Catholic Cemetery Association Exhibit at Willamette Heritage Center

Brooks Catholic Cemetery Association is participating in the 6th Annual Heritage Invitational Exhibit at Willamette Heritage Center in Salem, Oregon. The exhibit features displays from 16 organizations in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties and is titled Portrait of a People.  The 48 posters and artifacts displayed by Brooks Catholic Cemetery Association portray people buried in the cemetery. This includes French Canadians settlers along with their Native American wives and descendants and other people who called French Prairie and the community of Brooks home. 

The last day of the exhibit is Saturday, April 16, 2016. 

Willamette Heritage Center is at 1313 Mill Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301. Exhibit hours are Monday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm.

This cemetery exhibit was produced by Mike Dalton and Laura King. It is a companion to the book by Dorene Standish titled Books Catholic Cemetery 1894 – 2015 that was published in the Fall of 2015.
