FYI:  I just found out about this performance that will debut Dragon Theater's new puppet show for the 2008 summer reading program, and between performances there will be a workshop on puppetry.  Details below:

The  Columbia Association of Puppeteers invites you to a full afternoon of  performances and workshops on Sunday, April 27 in the performance hall at  Artichoke Music, 3130 SE Hawthorne Boulevard in Portland, Oregon. There will be  performances for the whole family at 2:00 and at 4:30 p.m., featuring the debut  of Dragon Theater's new show for the 2008 Summer Reading Program, "Little  Bugs, Big World" and Wool Horse Theater's "Wonder Tales from  Africa."  Between performances,  audience members of all ages may participate in a workshop on manipulating a  hand puppet and plotting a show, presented by Doris Hicks of the Albany Public  Library.  Participants get to keep the  hand puppet used in the workshop.  Tickets  cost $15.00 for a single show, or $30.00 for the two shows and workshop.
