Dear colleagues,

The AASL/ALSC/YALSA School/Public Library Cooperation Interdivisional
Committee met at the January 2008 ALA Midwinter Conference in
Philadelphia and recommended that we continue to solicit information for
a clearinghouse of ideas, activities, programs and services.

	 We would like to solicit:
1.	Information on existing school/public library cooperative
programs, their funding source, and the name and contact information of
the point person;
2.	Cautionary tales, i.e. programs and/or experiments that did not
succeed and why;
3.	References to articles and websites that pertain to this subject
4.	Your favorite letter, project, flyer etc. that you believe is
worthy of replication in a best practices manual;
5.	Information on any upcoming activities that you have planned
that have yet to be implemented (e.g. Summer Reading);

		As we would like to review this information at 2008 ALA
Annual Conference in Anaheim, we would appreciate your timely response.
We plan to share our results at future ALA and division programs and to
use this information to enhance our web presence. We are posting this
message on several national, regional, and state listservs.

		Please visit the ALSC website to see our current web
presence:

		We thank you for joining in this national conversation,

		AASL/ALSC/YALSA School/Public Library Cooperation
Interdivisional Committee Members Raymond W. Barber, Beth Wheeler-Dean,
Gayle Keresey, Karen Lemmons, Kate Mannix, Erika Thickman Miller,
Jacqueline J. Partch, Lisa M. Paulo, Shauna Yusko, Gail Bush (2008
Chair, AASL)

		NOTE: Please excuse any duplication and you need to
reply only once.

		Please send any responses directly to me, and I'll
compile them for the committee. Eventually we hope to add them to the
website listed above.
