[kids-lib] Central Oregon Early Literacy Conference

There's only 3 weeks left before the Central Oregon Early Literacy
Conference on May 9 at the Eagle Crest Resort.  This will be a wonderful
day, filled with ideas about early literacy skills and activities.  The
day will begin with a keynote by the charming and well-loved children's
author Todd Parr.  Heather McNeil (early literacy workshop leader,
storyteller, author and librarian) will follow with a workshop entitled
"Read, Rhyme, Romp: Early Literacy Skills and Activities to Grow a
Reader."  After lunch there will be 7 break-out sessions on such topics
as creative play, gender in children's literature, the Reading for
Healthy Families Project in Oregon, and best books for babies, toddlers
and preschoolers.  All this for just $50!  (that includes lunch)  Rooms
at Eagle Crest are $90. You can read more about the day, and register,
