Talk Story Grant applications<http://talkstorytogether.org/grants> are now being accepted through Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. Please consider applying.

Talk Story: Sharing stories, sharing culture is a literacy program that reaches out to Asian Pacific American (APA) and American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) children and their families. The program celebrates and explores their stories through books, oral traditions, and art to provide an interactive, enriching experience. Children and their families can connect to rich cultural activities through Talk Story in their homes, libraries, and communities.

This project is generously supported by Toyota Financial Services<http://www.toyotafinancial.com/> in conjunction with the American Indian Library Association<http://ailanet.org/> and the Asian Pacific American Librarian Association<http://www.apalaweb.org/>. It was developed as part of 2009-2010 American Library Association<http://www.ala.org/> President Camila Alire's Family Literacy Focus Initiative through the ALA Office for Literacy & Outreach Services<http://www.ala.org/offices/olos>
