Hello folks serving kids and teens,

In celebration of Children's Book Week<https://everychildareader.net/cbw/>, the Library of Congress launched a unique collection<https://www.loc.gov/item/prn-19-044/classic-works-of-childrens-books-published-more-than-100-years-ago-now-online-at-the-library-of-congress/2019-04-29/> of historically significant kids' books published over 100 years ago. None of the works selected are under copyright, so they can be freely shared. You can see the collection here: https://www.loc.gov/collections/childrens-book-selections/

My favorite so far is Gobolinks Shadow Pictures, but there's some other gems worth a glance for a few minutes' fun break. :) The Articles and Essays link has a more annotated bibliography of some of the collection.

Happy Tuesday,

Greta b
