Hi, children’s library staff!

The holidays are quickly approaching and many libraries are planning their winter break programs and some are starting to think about January programs.

Remember, the Fostering Readers tools can help you plan fun, researched-based literacy programs for K-3rd graders!

  * Ready to go activity plans<https://fosteringreaders.weebly.com/streamlined-activity-plans.html>
  * Template to create your own research-based literacy activities<https://fosteringreaders.weebly.com/create-your-own-activities.html>
  * Integrate research-based strategies into your passive literacy program ideas<https://fosteringreaders.weebly.com/activity-stations-passive-programs.html>
  * Integrate research-based strategies into your beginning reader book clubs<https://fosteringreaders.weebly.com/beginning-reader-storytimes.html>

Fostering Readers was created by two children’s librarians and two certified reading specialists, led by WCCLS and OregonASK, evaluated by NPC Research, and funded by a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the State Library of Oregon.

Thanks,
Katie
