Not sure if this would solve your problem or just enlarge it ha, but we've
purchased these Superspace tiles
<https://www.getsuperspace.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19683568076&gbraid=0AAAAABh-xvoozJ6_uJDhpNbYexg1RYf1_&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn8XFBhCxARIsAMyH8BswtoE-Px5Idg_4Uh0g7Y8qDnjTcbZ_Gn5JYRQMPPPWh19yHzcZ1XgaAolWEALw_wcB>
and they've been a huge hit with kids of all ages. They're essentially
gigantic soft magna-tiles that kids can build forts out of. They're
definitely not as loud as regular plastic magna-tiles when they crash but
it can cause a commotion. You also need a decent amount of space for a
building area. But they are easy to clean up and manage and the kids
absolutely love them. We had a custom felt holding box made by someone on
Etsy.
