Dear Colleagues,
Below is a message asking for your help in developing a slate of
nominations for the 2004 OLA election. If you would like to run for one
of the offices or have suggestions for potential candidates, please let
us have your input.

OLA SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICERS
The Oregon Library Association Nominations Committee is seeking people
to run for the following OLA offices. If you would like to run for
office or if you would like to suggest someone as a potential candidate,
please email Anne Christie, OLA Nominations Chair, at
anne.christie at oregonstate.edu by February 1, 2004. If you put someone
else's name forward, it would be very helpful if you could provide their
contact information. Candidates will be introduced at the 2004 OLA
Conference in Eugene.
*  Vice President/President Elect: The candidates must be a non-public
library representative for the 2004 election.  This office is a three
year commitment - one year each as Vice President, President, and Past
President.
*  Secretary: This is a one-year commitment.
*  ALA Representative: This is a three-year commitment.  Candidates must
be both an OLA and an ALA member in good standing.
*  PNLA Representative: This is a two-year commitment. Candidates must
be both an OLA and a PNLA member in good standing. Information about the
duties of each of these officers is available in Chapter 5 of the OLA
Procedures Manual at http://olaweb.org/bylaws/index.shtml.
