Cataloging Coordinator - Southern Oregon University Library
Assistant professor with 9-month, tenure track appointment with faculty
status. Responsibilities: Coordinates Cataloging area activities;
performs original and complex copy cataloging. Provides general
reference service. Serves as collection coordinator and faculty liaison
to assigned departments, including library instruction. Required: ALA
MLS and second Master's. Experience or training in cataloging library
materials in an integrated library system (ILS). Superior written and
oral communication skills. Experience or training in reference
services and an interest in library classroom instruction. Preferred:
ILS experience with III Millennium. Experience or training in metadata
standards and Dublin Core format. Ability to maintain web pages.
Training in cataloging government publications. Supervisory experience.
Appointment effective March 29, 2004. Salary $39,546 for nine months.
