[Libs-or] Vote for Herman Totten

I hope it is not considered inappropriate for me to solicit your votes
in this forum for Herman Totten for ALA president. Dr. Totten was one of
my first professors in library school at the University of North Texas,
and has had a lasting influence on me, and countless other library
science students.

As an African-American, he especially shone when teaching courses that
included some of the early history of activism in ALA, back in the
sixties and seventies. But he was also a profound thinker, and helped
shape my fundamental values as a librarian.
