[Libs-Or] Speakers at ALA/CLA Toronto: Nader, Nussbaum, Klein, Birkerts

I'm pleased to announce the following speakers for Toronto, by day of the
week:
Gunnar Birkerts, Architect for San Jose Public/State University Library
and the National Library of Latvia, and a panel from SJPL, SJSU, and
Andris Vilks, Director of the National Library of Latvia, Sunday,
8:30-10:00AM
Ralph Nader, ALA President's Program, Sunday 3-5 PM.  Ralph Nader,
consumer advocate and former Presidential candidate, established the DC
Library Renaissance Project in December 2002 to help raise awareness of
the steady decline of the DC Library System due to systematic budget
cuts
Karen Nussbaum, Assistant to the President of the AFL-CIO and founder of the
9-5 Women's Labor Movement and a reactor panel from the Better Salaries &
Pay Equity Task Force, Monday afternoon (time not set yet)
Naomi Klein, writer on globalization, world trade, and international labor
issues, Closing General Session, 8-9AM.
All of the programs are sponsored by DYNIX Corp., except for Karen
Nussbaum's, which is sponsored by the AFL-CIO.
DYNIX is also sponsoring the President's Program Reception, which follows
the President's Program.
More details, including the programs and training sessions offered by the
Task Force on Better Salaries & Pay Equity will be available subsequently.
