Dear Colleagues,
I just wanted to take a moment to invite you to view the recording of last
Thursday's LearningTimes sponsored webcast on alternate funding sources for
schools and libraries. Despite only having one hour, the panelists did a
great job talking about issues like diversifying library funding and
moving to a plural funding model which has proven to be successful in the
public radio sphere. The panelists also talked about their own experiences
and observations of successful fundraising efforts by schools and
libraries.
I want to thank our panelist that included, Elyssa Rosenberg Toomey of
Donors Choose, Steve Coffman of LSSI, Helen Kennedy and Jim Lewis from
Kennedy Lewis Associates.
We also had tremendous participation from the audience which is why in
addition to the archive we have set up a voice discussion board in the
hopes
that until we all meet again live online a discussion board can offer those
that want to exchange ideas a place to do so.
