Last week I shared the general issues OCLC Members Council 
will be looking at this year and at the next meeting, Oct 
26 - 28, 2003.   Now I have even more to ask you.

Here are some of the questions for the Cooperative 
Reference Interest Group.  If you have any comments please 
send them to me before the October 26.  



3rd-Party Databases Questions:

What specific databases or subject areas would you like to 
have considered for FirstSearch?
What are your reactions to alternative service providers 
buying up full text and perhaps pulling content from 
FirstSearch?  Is FirstSearch still the preferred abstract 
& index if full text is pulled?  
What are FirstSearch strengths that differentiate us from 
other providers?  (WorldCat is one.)


QuestionPoint Discussion Questions:

How is your reference service evaluated – in and outside 
the library?
How do you gather the information for that evaluation?
What are you doing to retain local information about 
useful resources for answers?
