The Reference Round Table of the Oregon Library Association invites you
to the free program:

       Web Tools:  Virtual Access to Community Resources
       Thursday, August 26, 2004
       1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
       La Grande Public Library
       Presenter:  Janet Hawkins (Multnomah County)

Public Libraries provide a free, accessible, consumer-friendly way for
patrons to find and use the web tools they need.

Web Tools training enables participants to gain knowledge and experience
with websites that provide relevant information about services and
resources for low--and moderate--income consumers.  The training focuses
on common situations and barriers that low-income people face in finding
and accessing web-based information and demonstrates tasks that can be
accomplished using several websites.
These websites include:
    www.housingconnections.org                www.connect2jobs.org
    www.thebeehive.org/portland                www.oregonhelps.org
Handouts will be provided to all participants.

Come early and bring a sack lunch form noon to 1:00 p.m. for light
refreshments and socializing.
