I am a student in the distance program through Emporia, but I've also worked in libraries for a number of years. I have had numerous experiences trying to communicate with non-native patrons, especially Spanish speaking patrons. I once found an audio tape of Spanish for librarians and I listened to it for quite a while, but without being able to see the person's mouth, I couldn't figure out how they were forming the words. I have an idea for a video tape of Spanish for librarians that would also include a discussion of cultural preferences that would make the library, and librarians, feel more inviting to this community. If I put together such a video, would there be a market for it? And if so, how much would you think something like this would be worth? You can answer me privately. Thanks!
